Naktuinbouw (the Netherlands Inspection Service for Horticulture) promotes and monitors the quality of products, processes and production chains in the horticultural sector. The main focus is on propagating material, of national and international origin. Naktuinbouw is an Autonomous Public Body regulated by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs. As a developer I have developed the Audits TIS application from the ground up. Audits TIS is a task-based application which supports the entire Auditing process and uses visual workflow for a very friendly user experience. The application is build using the latest version of React (16.8), TypeScript for the front-end and a C# .NET Core WebAPI back-end. It is deployed automatically, using Azure DevOps, to all DTAP environments. The front-end has unit tests using Jest and the back-end uses xUnit and Moq for its unit tests. To guarantee the overall quality there is a set of regression tests which automatically run, using Selenium, after deployment to a specific environment.

Bakker is a fruits and vegetables distribution company. Their software is internally developed using various technology stacks. The application landscape is comprised of 5 key systems; warehouse management system, purchasing, selling, predictive sales & distribution and the production application. These applications have continually been improved to better align with the business needs and dynamic surrounding of the rapidly growing company. I worked in a team in which we built a new purchasing application using an Angular TypeScript front-end and a C# Web API back-end. The application has a large data entry component and is built to tailor the needs of the end-users to quickly start and finish their purchasing workflow. To keep the front-end application maintainable, we introduced Redux to do state management for the different related input fields. The application has replaced the previous application and is currently used by all end-users on three different locations. Parts of this application have made the move to Microsoft Azure.

Amadeus develops a bespoke Microsoft Azure SaaS application for the hospitality market where all aspects involved with the running of a hotel can be managed. I worked in a team responsible for handling hotel room price rate variations for different peak scenarios during a the season. Also building a financial export functionality where in disaster situations hotels could still reliably continue their operation. We used various techniques (Azure Web-jobs, service bus), to fulfill the functional demands to deal with varying external partners.

Internal policies administration application. This project focuses on automating the flow of new applicants for DSW policies and mutations on existing ones as much as possible. The flow handles multiple different business validation steps before a policy is valid and will be entered into the system. The main goal of the application was to reduce the number of manual steps into order to efficiently deal with the incoming flow of policy requests. The 'straight through' processing (automatic) achieved was 96%, which means that with a smaller work force, the same number of applicants can be dealt with.

Building the next generation of back office applications to facilitate the growth of Coolblue. Responsible for the hiring of 30 developers where the initial population was zero. Introduced a new way of working using automated testing (unit and integration tests), automated code quality checks and Continuous Delivery while iteratively (using Scrum) delivering software. The back office applications are initially deployed on the internal network, but we used an (software) architecture which enabled an easy transition to Microsoft Azure. For both an IaaS and PaaS model. The system established a microservices architecture bus for interacting between the different business domains.

Participating in developing software for our clients. In the role of architect and /or coach for my colleagues. Also responsible for the delivery process in terms of software quality and project handover. Participated in Microsoft Azure Circle partnership meetings to further the increase access to the Microsoft Azure roadmap and upcoming features.

Development, together with three colleagues, of an internal bespoke Project, Time and Customer registration application. Development of a bespoke Panel Management System used by our internal research managers to customize their samples needed to complete their surveys.

I was responsible for the design and implementation of all internally built TM/TC ground control simulation systems. Mainly focusing on the XMM type based satellites.
